February 2017 Boxycharm Spoilers

Hey y'all! I know I'm a little late in getting these spoilers up for everyone, but it has already been a hectic start to the year. However, I figured it is always better late than never, so I wanted to get this up anyways! February is looking like it will be a great month for Boxycharm!

Every subscriber will be receiving TWO Makeup Geek eyeshadows for the month of February. They are valued at $6 a piece.

You will receive two of the colors swatched above! I'm really hoping for some of those warm colors personally.

Subscribers will also be receiving a small Z-palette, to help store those Makeup Geek shadows we will be receiving.

The third item that subscribers will be receiving is the Dr. Brandt Microdermabrasion Age Defying Exfoliator, which has an overall value of $79!!!! I've used this product in the past, and I personally love it, so I am beyond thrilled that we will be getting the full size in Boxycharm next month.

There is still time to sign up in order to receive February's box. Let me know what you think of these spoilers in the comments section below, and also be sure to subscribe to my blog, so you don't miss out on future spoilers and unboxings.

January 2017 Boxycharm Unboxing

Welcome back everyone! It's time, once again, for another Boxycharm unboxing. For those that don't know, Boxycharm is a $21/month beauty subscription service that sends 5-6  FULL SIZE beauty products each month. Nearly every box has a total value of over $100 worth of product in it. They also offer a rewards program where you can earn full sized products for free. This box does lean more towards the makeup side of beauty; however, they do include skincare/haircare, as well. Keep reading below to see what I received this month. This post does contain referral links.

Each month, your box comes with a little card that details all of the items that you received, and lists the full retail value of each item.

1.) Gorge Konjac Sponge -$18 (Variable item)

I have never used a konjac sponge before, but I have heard great things about them. I have only used it twice so far, so I haven't really noticed a difference in my skin; however, it is soft and seems to do a nice job of exfoliating. I will definitely continue to use it.

2.) So Susan Fan Brush -$18.95 (Variable item)

This is the first product from So Susan that I have ever received. It seems to be a good quality fan brush; however, it is a little to thin for my liking when it comes to applying highlight to the tops of the cheeks. It does do a good job of applying highlight down the bridge of the nose though.

3.) English Laundry Purse Sprayer -$25 (Variable item)

I'm one of those weird people that actually enjoys receiving perfumes in my subscription boxes, because it gives me the chance to try out new scents that I wouldn't otherwise purchase on my own. On the card that comes in the box, it states that this item is a roller ball; however, it turned out to be a sprayer, which I like a lot more!

I'm not very good at describing scents, but I will just say that this wasn't one of my favorite ones. One, I didn't like the scent to begin with, and two it faded pretty quickly (thankfully). I will be passing this along to someone else.

4.) Pur Mineral Glow Bronzer -$25 (Variable item)

I breathed a sigh of relief when I saw that I received this in my box instead of the stick blush from this brand. I love bronzers, and this one is so good!

It has a nice bronze color, that isn't too orange and it has a nice buildable color, as well. It also feels nice and soft in the pan. LOVE LOVE LOVE IT! Swatches are below.

5.) Vintage Highlighter Set -$35 (in all boxes)

I adore the packaging of the Vintage products. It is a sleek, matte white packaging, with gold detailing. It came with two gorgeous highlights, and a nice sized mirror!

The pinky shade is called Rose Quartz and the darker champagne shade is called Chocolate Diamond. The quality of these highlights is definitely better than the previous Vintage highlight Boxycharm subscribers received. It gives a nice subtle glow to the cheeks, and is easily buildable for a more intense glow. Swatches are below.

Above are swatches of the bronzer and the two highlights.

That is everything that I received in my Boxycharm this month. The overall value of this month's box was $121.95. How did you like the box this month, and did you receive something different? Let me know in the comments section below! Also be sure to subscribe to my blog, so you don't miss out on future spoilers and unboxings!

January 2017 Ipsy Unbagging

Hello everyone! It's finally that time of the month where I share what I received in my Ipsy glam bag. Ipsy is a $10/month subscription service, that sends out 5 different beauty items per month. It is generally more makeup items; however, they also throw in some skin care and hair care items, as well. Each month subscribers will receive their items in a cute little makeup bag.  You can review the items you receive for points, which you can then redeem for items on their website. Continue reading below to find out what I received this month. This post contains referral links.

Each month subscribers receive a cute little makeup bag with all of their products tucked inside. The bag this month is so cute!!

It has a silvery blue top portion, with a silver underlay. Here is a close up of it!

I love getting sheet masks in my subscription services, plus the packaging on these particular ones are so adorable! The acaiberry mask is meant for lackluster skin that needs a little extra TLC, and the aloe mask is for dry skin that has lost it's elasticity, plus it will help with redness! I cannot wait to use these!

This was the one and only product from January that I truly wanted, so I'm thrilled that I received it! I never thought I would like another blending brush more than my Morphe M441, but this one is quickly pushing that one out of the way. It blends shadows so nicely, and it's perfect for getting right up in that crease. Plus it is the prettiest brush ever!

I have admittedly not tried too many products from the Rimmel brand before, not because I didn't want to, but because I often over look this brand at the drugstore.

I actually really like this product. I love that it comes in a lipstick form, which makes it super easy to apply. It was very moisturizing on my lips, and while it looks orange in the tube, it applies clear to the lips. This is perfect to apply right before putting on a liquid lip.

Just about every product that I have ever received from ModelCO has been great, so I was excited to receive this blush in my bag this month.

It is a beautiful peach color with a hint of sheen to it. I tried it out the other day, and it has a nice buildable color; however, I felt like it faded throughout the day. Did anyone else that received this product have the same experience with it? Let me know in the comments section below. Swatches are below.

5.) Manna Kadar Cosmetics Fantasy 3-in-1 Eyeshadow -Unable to find price for size received

I love multi-use products like this. You can use it as a eyeshadow, a blush topper, or a highlight.

I tried using this as a eyeshadow the other day, and I did have to wet my brush to get any color pay off, so I'm not sure I will use it for that. However, I did try it out as a highlight today, and it was gorgeous. It leaves a nice subtle glow to the skin, which I love. Swatches are below

I love when Ipsy has great redeemable items on their website. When I saw this on there, I immediately snatched it up.

It is a beautiful metallic mauve-lavender shade. It applied nice and evenly to my lips. It lasted for several hours after application, and my lips didn't feel dry after wearing it. I will definitely be purchasing more of these in the future. Swatches are below.

Above are swatches of the blush, 3-in-1 eyeshadow, and the metallic lipstick.

The overall value of this month's bag was $47.17, and that isn't including the price of the Manna Kadar 3-in-1 eyeshadow or the bag! This was definitely one of my better months! What items did you receive? Let me know in the comments section below, and be sure to subscribe to my blog, so you don't miss out on future spoilers and unboxings!

Project Pan Roulette-28 By May 6, 2017

Hey everyone! Since it is the start of a new year, that means a ton more new and exciting beauty products will be hitting stores soon. So in order to make room in my collection for some of those items, I wanted to do a big project pan.

For those that don't know, project pan is simply trying to use up what beauty products you currently have in your collection. Some people that do project panning will also abstain from purchasing new beauty products until they have completed their pan project. Do to lack of self control, I will NOT be doing that.

I decided to spice my project pan up a little bit by doing it roulette style. I used a template I found online, which you can find here, and I randomly selected (no peeking!!) 28 categories.  I selected 28 different items to be completed by May 6, because I will be turning 28 years old on that date.

I will have pictures below of each product that I plan on using in this project pan, along with what my specific goal is for each product. So enough with all of the chit chat, lets get to it!

1.) A product with a pump- Kat Von D Lock It Foundation in Light

I am about half-way through this foundation right now, so my goal is to try and use it up.

2.) A product that smells good- The Body Shop Coconut Body Butter

I haven't used this yet, but I know I can get through the entire thing by May 6. It is a travel size.

3.) A highlighter- Becca Opal

This is a deluxe size sample that I received almost a year ago from an online order at Ulta.com. I would like to a least hit pan on this.

4.) A product in a squeeze bottle- L'Oreal Pro Matte 24hr Foundation

I use this foundation several times a week, so it won't be hard for me to finish using this up.

5.) A product that you haven't used in a while- Trestique Eyeshadow stick in Venetian Gold

I received this in one of my very first Ipsy bags last year. I'm not the biggest fan of cream shadows, so this will be a challenge for me, even though there isn't that much left. I would like to finish this up.

6.) A holy grail skin care product- Origins Frothy Face Wash

I am on my second bottle of this stuff, and I'm about half way through it already. This will be super easy for me to use up by May.

7.) Pick a product at random- Benefit Boi-ing Concealer

This has been in my collection for a long time now. I picked this simply because it's not my favorite and I really just need to use it up. My goal is to use as much as possible before I throw it out.

8.) A drugstore makeup product- Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer

I am obscessed with this bronzer, and I use it nearly everyday. I would like to at least hit pan on this.

9.) Your least favorite perfume- Paco Rabanne Lady Million

This is the only perfume that I have in my collection that isn't my favorite. Luckily I only have a small amount of it left, so this will be easy for me to use up.

10.) A face serum- Sunday Riley Good Genes

This is the only facial serum that I currently have, and I just purchased it about a month ago, so I still have a long way to go. I personally won't be in a hurry to use this up, because I love it, and it cost a pretty penny.

11.) Your favorite lip balm- Carmex Strawberry Lip Balm

I'm working through another lip balm now, but I will be moving on to this one after that. I use a lip balm every night before I go to bed, so this should be something I can use up by May.

12.) A cream eyeshadow- Laura Mercier Shadow Stick in Rose Gold

Again, I'm not a huge fan of cream shadows and shadow sticks, so this will be a challenge for me; however, I would like to try and use this up by May.

13.) A current favorite product- L'Oreal Brow Stylist

I just received this in the mail last week, but I have literally been using it everyday since I got it. I love it! I don't see this being hard for me to use up.

14.) A product that is hyped on Youtube- Tarte Shape Tape Concealer

This is hyped on Youtube for a great reason. I love this concealer, and I use it almost every time I wear makeup. This shouldn't be hard for me to use up by May.

15.) A mascara- Ardency Inn Modster Big

I try not to hold on to mascaras for more than 3-4 months anyways, so this shouldn't be difficult for me to use up by May.

16.) A product I've recommended- Kat Von D Tattoo Liner

I want to use up this liner, because I have several back ups in my drawer waiting to be used.

17.) A mini makeup product- Bare Minerals Ready Bronzer

This is a deluxe sample that I received almost a year ago from an online order. I would like to at least hit pan on this.

18.) Your favorite hand cream- Juara Coconut Hand and Nail Balm

I only have a little bit of this left, so it shouldnt' be too hard for me to finish using this up.

19.) Your favorite eyeshadow- Mac Brule

This was really hard for me to pick, because I don't really have one favorite eyeshadow; however, if I had to pick something, I would have to say Mac Brule is great. I have been using it nearly everyday for about 2 weeks to set my eye primer before applying other shadows. I would like to at least hit pan on this.

20.) A face mist- Cinema Secrets Super Sealer Setting Spray

I am about half way done with this setting spray, and I would like to finish it up by May. It is not my favorite setting spray, because it burns my eyes a little after using it. I need it gone.

21.) A product that cost $5 or less- Essence Lipliner in Satin Mauve

I don't normally use a lip liner, so I wanted to challenge myself a little bit by throwing one into my project pan. I would like to use at least half of this by May.

22.) A product that you received as a gift- Nars Blush in Orgasm

My Husband purchased this for me as a Valentine's Day gift, and I would like to at least hit pan on it by May.

23.) A product you haven't used much- Sephora Collection Bright Future Gel Serum Concealer

I don't reach for this concealer very often, and it has basically just been taking up room in my collection, so i would like to try and use it up by May.

24.) A face moisturizer- Clinique Moisturizing Gel

I just started using this moisturizer, so it is completely full. I would like to at least get through half of it by May.

25.) Your oldest lip product- Trestique Lip Crayon in Nantucket Nude

This has been in my collection for over a year and a half, and it needs to be used up. I very rarely make it through a full lip product, so this will be a challenge for me.

26.) A product in loose form- Cinema Secrets Ultra Translucent Setting Powder

I picked this loose powder because it has been in my collection for nearly a year now, and I just don't reach for it like I use to. I would like to finish using it up by May.

27.) A colored eyeliner- Sephora Collection Eyeliner in Love Affair

I can see myself using this eyeliner up. It is a beautiful plum color, and looks great with just about any eye look.

28.) Your favorite face product- Kat Von D Lock-It Setting Powder

I use this setting powder all of the time, so it should be fairly easy for me to use up by May.

EXTRAS:

I am rolling this over from a previous project pan that I did. I would like to finish this up, and luckily I don't have much more to go.

I am also rolling this over from a previous project pan that I did. I am nearly finished with it, so hopefully I can completely use it up.

*10 perfume samples

*10 various beauty samples from my sample jar

This is how I will be measuring my usage on any stick products.

Well everyone, it looks like I have my work cut out for me on this project pan. I will update again half through with my progress on each item, so be sure to subscribe to my blog so you don't miss out on it.
